The Project

Project Context

Domestic violence encompasses violence in spousal and intimate partner relationships. When children and adolescents are exposed to domestic violence and are left alone with these profoundly wounding experiences, it damages their development. Affected children/adolescents seldom turn outwardly for help. If they do, then their first contacts are often siblings or friends.

  • contribute to removing the taboos on the subject of "domestic violence",
  • pay special attention to the role and support potentials of peers in the context of domestic violence and
  • strengthen children and adolescents so that they can search for help themselves or support peers who are affected, respectively.
